My name is Laura Hamilton. I am a lifelong Alaskan who was born and raised in South Anchorage. I moved to the Eagle River area in 1975. At that time, the population was almost 7,000 and today we are now rapidly approaching the 40,000 mark! How times have changed! I have raised my son here and look forward to watching my grandchildren grow up as well! I enjoy working out at the local gym, gardening, traveling and spending time with my family. Life is meant to be lived and I certainly enjoy mine!
I love and accept the challenges that come with living in the Last Frontier. Alaska is a very exciting place to live with all the natural scenic beauty, even after all these years it still takes my breath away. From the active volcano's, earth quakes, extreme weather conditions, to the controversy over gun laws, management of wildlife and oil/gas development or the lack of it we are right in the heart of what is happening. What a great State we live in.
